New Debbie As Linda Concert On Linda Ronstadt's 74th Brithday!

Debra (Debbie Bailey) Rider, local Jacksonville, Florida area singer-songwriter and former backing vocalist for Lynyrd Skynryd 1988-1992, has been singing backing vocals for tribute artists at Alhambra Theatre & Dining for the last seven years in Jacksonville, Florida. When some of the other tribute artists she sang for said she should have her own tribute show and suggested she looked like Linda Ronstadt and had the “pipes” to sing Linda, she was immediately intrigued; as Debbie loves Linda Ronstadt!! After six months of trying to talk herself out of it; Debbie embarked on learning all the songs, researching all Linda’s concerts, reading all about Linda, including her book “Simple Dreams” and purchasing vintage and look like Linda clothing. Then she called on her local top musician friends and recruited Kenny Levine piano/keyboards/vocals, Mark Dennison guitar/vocals, Michael Bennick acoustic and electric guitar, Larry Raulerson bass/vocals, John LeMaster pedal steel, Sammy Buonocore, Sr., drums, and Teri Harris Levine vocals to put together a seven-piece band to sound just like Linda’s live concerts !  That was 2018 and since then, Debbie and her band named aptly “Get Closer!” A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt, have sold out shows at Mudville Music Room, Jacksonville, Florida, Story & Song Bookstore Bistro, Fernandina Beach, and Players By the Sea Theatre, Jacksonville Beach. Debbie was also the special guest at Alhambra New Year’s Eve Gala!  For 2020, Debbie has put together yet another new showcase of Linda Ronstadt hits and is emulating Linda’s 1974 radio concert recorded live at My Father’s Place in Roslyn, New York on July 17, 1974!  Come join Debbie and her band at Mudville Music Room as they reenact Linda’s concert fresh off her hit album “”Heart Like a Wheel” which took Linda out of the lounge circuit and onto the larger concert venue stages.  In addition, wear what you wore in 1974! If you weren’t around back in that day, it won’t be hard to find that style as it as all come back around, however, some of us have the vintage clothing to prove we were!  Come on out and celebrate the 70’s and Linda Ronstadt's 74th birthday!
